1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to remember your preferences, and to provide information to the website owner about how visitors use the site.
Similar technologies — including pixels, local storage objects, and session storage — work in a comparable way and are referred to collectively as "cookies" throughout this Policy.
This Website, https://qianyangkong.stoodio.io, is operated by Qianyang Kong and powered by Stoodio (STOODIO LTD). Both Qianyang Kong and Stoodio may set cookies on this Website, as described in Section 4.
Capitalised terms describing Stoodio's AI commitments have the meanings given in the Stoodio Terms and Conditions at stoodio.io/legal/terms
2. Legal Framework
The use of cookies on this Website is governed by the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (UK PECR) and, in respect of any personal data processed through cookies, by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
For visitors accessing this Website from the European Economic Area, the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC) as implemented in the relevant member state also applies.
Under these laws, we are required to obtain your consent before placing any cookies on your device that are not strictly necessary for the Website to function. We do this via the cookie consent banner displayed when you first visit the Website.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are essential for the Website to operate and cannot be switched off. They do not require your consent. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in a form.
- Without these cookies, the Website cannot function correctly.
- They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is strictly required for the session.
3.2 Analytics and performance cookies
These cookies collect information about how visitors use the Website — for example, which pages are visited most often, how long visitors spend viewing individual artworks, and how visitors arrived at the Website. This information is used to improve the Website and to generate the performance insights available to Qianyang Kong via the Stoodio dashboard.
These cookies are also used by Stoodio, in its capacity as an independent data controller, to generate platform-wide analytics and market intelligence, as described in Section 9 of the Privacy Policy. Stoodio's use of this data is governed by Stoodio's own privacy policy at stoodio.io/privacy.
- These cookies are only set if you have given your consent via the cookie banner.
- You may withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.
3.3 Functional cookies
These cookies allow the Website to remember choices you make (such as your cookie consent preferences) and provide enhanced, more personal features. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to the Website.
- These cookies are only set if you have given your consent via the cookie banner.
4. Cookies Used on This Website
The table below lists the cookies and client-side storage currently set on this Website, their purpose, and who sets them.
Cookies
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| stoodio_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie choices so the banner is not shown on every visit | 12 months | Stoodio |
| stoodio_referral_source | Analytics (consent required) | Records that your visit arrived through a Stoodio link, so that introductions made by the platform can be recognised | 30 days | Stoodio |
Local and session storage
| Key | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| stoodio:subscribe-auto | Functional | Remembers that the subscribe invitation was already shown in this session | Session |
| stoodio:viewer-from-gallery | Functional | Remembers which page you opened an artwork from (a gallery or the Works page), so closing the viewer returns you there | Session |
5. How We Obtain and Manage Your Consent
When you first visit this Website, a cookie consent banner is displayed. The banner allows you to:
- Accept all cookies (strictly necessary, analytics, functional, and marketing where applicable).
- Accept only strictly necessary cookies.
- Customise your preferences by category.
Your consent choices are stored in the stoodio_cookie_consent cookie and applied on all subsequent visits. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of this Website.
Consent is obtained separately for: (a) analytics cookies used by Qianyang Kong for website performance insights; (b) analytics cookies used by Stoodio for its own platform analytics and market intelligence purposes; and (c) any marketing cookies, where enabled. You may grant or withhold consent for each purpose independently.
Consent to the use of non-essential cookies is entirely voluntary. Refusing or withdrawing consent will not prevent you from accessing the Website or its content, though some features may be limited.
6. How to Control Cookies
6.1 Via the cookie banner
You may update your consent preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of this Website.
6.2 Via your browser
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:

- Set your browser to notify you before a cookie is placed.
Please note that restricting cookies via your browser may affect the functionality of this and other websites. Instructions for managing cookies in the most common browsers can be found at:

You can grant or withdraw consent to Stoodio's platform analytics at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer of this Website. The banner asks for that consent separately from Qianyang Kong's own analytics.
7. Personal Data Processed via Cookies
Some cookies set on this Website process personal data (such as IP addresses and browsing behaviour). For full details of how this personal data is collected, used, shared, and retained, please refer to our Privacy Policy at Privacy Policy.
In summary:
- Qianyang Kong processes analytics data collected via cookies as data controller for the purpose of understanding Website performance and visitor engagement.
- Stoodio (STOODIO LTD) processes the same analytics data both as our data processor (on our behalf) and as an independent data controller (for its own platform analytics and market intelligence purposes). Stoodio's independent processing is governed by Stoodio's privacy policy at stoodio.io/privacy.
- Data collected via analytics cookies may be shared by Stoodio, in aggregated and fully anonymised form only — from which no individual visitor can be identified — with galleries, collectors, art advisors, and other professional operators in the art sector, as described in the Privacy Policy. Individual (non-anonymised) visitor data is held by Stoodio only where you have separately opted in, as described in the Privacy Policy, Section 9.
8. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or changes in applicable law. The current version will always be available on this Website. Where changes are material — for example, if we add a new category of cookie — we will display a new consent banner to seek your updated preferences.
This Cookie Policy was last updated on 3 August 2026.
